• An irrigation contractor was losing time and revenue due to an error-prone manual scheduling and service order system.  Vertical Systems developed an automated solution including a hand-held component to log-in and log-out of jobs, allocate inventory, and record all billing related activities.  Implementation resulted in a dramatic 192% increase in revenue per employee, reduction in office staff, reduction in receivable days outstanding, and improved customer satisfaction.

• A global laundry equipment manufacturer needed an automated route collection and field service system to improve the efficiency, profitability, and revenue for their laundry operators.  Vertical Systems designed and developed a complete solution including hand-held and back-office automation.  The laundry operators significantly reduced coin skimming, eliminated paperwork for field personnel, improved productivity, enabled analysis of machine utilization for preventative maintenance and machine replacement.

• A mid-sized electronics component distributor had sizable delays and frequent errors capturing orders using paper and out-dated batch devices.  Vertical Systems designed and developed a Mobile Route Collection system using ruggedized barcode scanning devices, web services, and GSM cellular connectivity.  Implementation enabled the mobile delivery and sales force to accurately capture and transfer orders; significantly reducing errors and turn-around time for order fulfillment.
